Purpose for this Wiki:
This wiki began as a class project to help Non-Profit Organizations improve their websites by using some of the many available Web 2.0 tools on the internet. It is my hope that these ideas will become popular and helpful into the future long after the completion of my class for those who support and use this Wiki.
Audience: Non-Profit Organizations
Overall purpose or project goal: Show them how to make their websites exciting and interactive not the typical dry and static that they currently have.
Objectives / Standards:
- Create a how-to Wiki website.
- Use and demonstrate several key Web 2.0 tools that can be used.
- Consult with non-profit organizations on how they can improve their websites using Web 2.0 tools.
- Help create and point to example websites.
Learning needs / gaps to be addressed for the learners:
How to create attractive, engaging and interactive websites that will excite organization members and future members into visiting and participating at the website regularly (at least weekly if not daily).
